Where did the year go? Madison turned one on April 3rd. We had a killer party...that even included a break dance circle with all of her little cousins :). So fun. Madison LOVES: playing outside, dirt, her baby dolls, dogs (oh dear..I know), making GIANT messes, reading books, and ice cream. She walks everywhere and is gaining speed daily. Madison folds her arms for prayers and says "here you go" a hundred times a day. She has also started biting her nails when she gets nervous..its cute...who knew that started so young?! Madison has her Dad wrapped around her finger...and uhh... maybe her Mom too. I am going to post pictures of her BD and Easter and a million trillion other things....someday.

Madisons Cabbage Patch Dolls

I bought these cabbage patch newborn twins for Madison for Christmas. They were surprise genders. To my surprise they were both boys!?! Madisons two first dolls are boys! I never dreamed both of the dolls would be boys. I don't think she cared but I did. Hahaha.

Oh Brado-Tato how I will miss you. Who will I play games with? Who will crack jokes at family dinners? Who's going to tell me ridiculous stories all hours of the night? Last but definitley not least who is going to fix my car and change my oil (for free)!?!? I seriously love your face off! Your going to make the best missionary. Your farewell talk sounded like it was a homecoming talk. Your so prepared. Proud of you :)!

Time is flying. Madison can sit up, play peek-a-boo, wave, and has two teeth! Holy cow... I swear she was just born. No matter how big she gets she'll be my "goose-goose" for life! (whether shes likes it or not).

8 Things I'm Looking Forward To:

1. Dressing Madison up like Tinkerbell for Halloween (had the costume since July)
2. Christmas with Madison (already have her presents picked out)
3. Taking Madison to Disneyland some day (its one of my dreams in life)
4. Going on a tropical vacation with Scott this summer
5. General Conference (going home to be with my family)
6. Madisons first Birthday party
7. Bradon's farewell. Even though I'm going to miss his face off.
8. Lisa moving back to Utah!

8 Things I did Yesterday:

1. Went to the mall with Scott and had lunch
2. Went to an amazing $5 Shade sale on a corner in Provo
3. Kissed Madisons face off (do that everyday)
4. Took Madison to her 6 month check up (she went from 25% in height to 75% in two months)
5. Went and played with Danielle and baby Rocky two of my most favorite people in the world!
6. Went to a party for Acaydia and saw old friends
7. Fed Madison peas and bananas and got them all over both of us
8. Had some serious tummy time.

Seriously does it get better? Hahah. Busy day we normally clean our house, kiss each other and wait for Scott to come home.

8 Things I wish I could Do:

1. Make beautiful cakes. Im talking beautiful. Im going to someday.
2. Make millions so Scott didn't have to work so he could play with us all day.
3. Sing...so well that someone besides Madison would pay to hear me :)
4. Go on Vacation with Scott every month to exotic locations.
5. Hire a maid.
6. Live next door to Danielle.
7. Magically re-attach the 12 inches of hair I cut off.
8. Be perfect in every way. (Im pretty close.) jk

The highlights of last week were rice cereal, swiss days, and last but not least the birth of baby Rocky! September 2nd 2009 8 lbs 13 oz. 21 1/2 inches. Congrats Danielle and Aaron. I love him to pieces.

Finally here are some more pictures of Madison. It's amazing where your free time goes when you have a baby. Im doing good if I comb my hair let alone blog. Danielle has all of her hospital photos and lucky for her shes in the Caribbean so here are some random photos.

Madison's bath in the NICU. This is where we learned the blanket trick. You can see where her heart monitors pulled her skin off on her chest....so sad. Glad we're not there anymore!

ITS A GIRL!!!!!!

19 weeks Here she is at 19 weeks. She is smooshed in there, poor thing. Those are her toes at the top of the picture, she is almost eating them! She had her little ankles crossed and was sucking on her hand. Babies are such miracles. I love seeing how much shes grown...she still has a long ways yet she is only 9 ounces!

12 weeks At 12 weeks she was doing flips!

8 weeks This was her first ultra sound at 8 weeks. Scott and I were amazed to see her little arms and legs just a kicking and punching away. She was so tiny! It was so cute!

Navajo Falls July 2008

Navajo Falls were my favorite probably because it was the first one we saw after hiking in the heat all day. They are also very secluded it didn't seem like anyone knew how to find them because there was never anyone there but us. The boys (and Juliet!!) spent a long time jumping off the top of this falls. Scott had to go first of course. There was a rope on the highest part that you held on to so you wouldn't fall. I have a fear of heights so I didn't do it but Scott on the other hand was doing flips off it.

Havasu Falls 2008

This is the most famous waterfall called Havasu (that little person is Scott). It is the most photographed waterfall in the world and once you've been there you can see why. If I was a better photographer you could see why too. There is a huge pool at the bottom that turns into more and more waterfalls. I am telling you this place in unbelievable.

This is the whole group minus Dave. He finally showed up just as everyone was packing everything up to go home. Haha. He did get to see most of the falls on his way out. We were glad he made it. These guys are the funnest group of friends. I am glad they have stayed so close.

Mooney Falls July 2008

This picture is in a cave underneath one of the waterfalls.

To get to Mooney Falls you have to scale down the side of this wall. You hold on to chain and go down ladders. It was a little scary I am not going to lie. Mooney falls is the highest of the waterfalls at 200 ft. All of the waterfalls have deep pools at the bottom where you can swim and surprisingly the water is warm. Mooney falls is such a big waterfall that it makes its own waves that are pretty big.

HAVASUPAI FALLS ARIZONA JULY 2008

This was a really hard hike especially on the way out because the last mile or two are the worst switchbacks imaginable. It was so worth it though.

This is the very beginning of the trail where you start the hike. Scott gave me my pack and when I put it on I about fell over backwards. This is when I started to get nervous.

The pink house boys (all of Scotts old roommates) planned a trip to Havasupai Falls in Arizona its really close to the Grand Canyon. I am telling whoever is reading this if you haven't gone there, you have to go. Scott and I both agree it is probably the most beautiful place we have ever been. The water is a turqouise blue from the lime in the water. It honestly looks like someone died it that color its so pretty.

The day we left Scott worked a twelve hour shift at the hospital, we then drove ten hours to were you start hiking, we took a two hour nap in the parking lot and then, hiked in ten miles. By the time we got there it had gotten so hot but, as soon as we saw that first waterfall it was all worth it. The waterfalls are amazing! Like something in a movie. Here are some of our pictures however, pictures cannot do this place justice!

One Year!

June 30th was our first anniversary. It's gone by fast but at the same time it feels like we have known each other forever. I am so grateful for Scott. I don't know how I found someone so amazing. He is the most kind and considerate person I know. I feel so blessed to be his wife.

HAWAII JUNE 2008

I am so in love with Hawaii! I still have so many pictures of Nauvoo and our cruise but I thought I would post a few from Hawaii. We went with some of Scotts good friends and had so much fun! We went to Oahu and stayed at the Turtle Bay Resort on the north shore. It was truly a trip of a lifetime.

I have never eaten so much food in all my life. The food was unbelievable! We seriously ate every 30 minutes.

Grand Caymen Island

This is just one of many pictures from our cruise. At the Grand Caymen Islands we went to Sting Ray City I think my face says it all. I was terrified. We road a boat for 30 minutes to a sand bar in the middle of the ocean. The water there is unbelievable, it's perfectly clear and super warm. We put on our snorkeling gear and jumped in the water with dozens and dozens of GIANT sting rays. The one in this picture is a baby compared to the other ones that were there. These sting rays are wild and still have their stingers (Crocodile Dundee died from a sting ray which freaked me out the whole time). We were able to feed the stings rays squid and touch their slippery skin. I had touched sting rays before at sea world, but swimming with them was a different story. I went under the water to take a picture of Scott and a huge sting ray that weighed well over a hundred pounds hit my face and got on my back!! Needless to say it startled me and I almost started to cry while everyone else laughed. It was still so much fun. We found huge conc shells and tropical fish. Grand Caymen was so amazing!!!

San Juan River Trip

For spring break Scott decided it would be fun to go on a river trip to the San Juan. The San Juan is the river that flows into Lake Powell. This picture was taken the day we arrived. I was so happy the weather was going to be perfect or so I thought. Every morning it was sunny and warm... until we got on the river and then it would snow, hail, and rain. I was sooo cold. I felt like a pioneer haha. My poor feet were purple and going to fall off! Scott on the other hand was having the time of his life kayaking. He loved every minute of it. Im glad he had a good time.
